Jeera futures trade higher on increased buying

Jeera futures traded higher on NCDEX, due to increased buying by stockists tracking firm demand from spot markets in midst of lower prevailing price. However, some gains remained capped on larger cumin arrivals.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 14700.00, up by 0.58 % or Rs 85.00 from its previous closing of Rs 14615.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 5877 lots.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 15120.00, up by 0.40% or Rs 60.00 from its previous closing of Rs 15060.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 2769 lots on NCDEX.
