Jeera futures traded higher on NCDEX, driven by fresh buying at prevailing low rates by stockists amid increase in demand. However, some gains were capped on anticipation of higher stocks this season on reports of higher acreage of cumin in Gujarat.
The contract for March delivery was trading at Rs 15390.00, up by 0.2% or Rs 30.00 from its previous closing of Rs 15360.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 10338 lots.
The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 15680.00, increased by 0.38% or Rs 60.00 from its previous closing of Rs 15620.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 2331 lots on NCDEX.
