Jeera futures trade higher on good buying interest

Jeera futures traded higher on NCDEX, due to good buying interest from local stockists amid on expectation of better physical demand as prices slumped to 3-week low last week. Moreover, the report that prevailing water crisis may curtail jeera sowing by about 25%, also buoyed the turmeric prices in future market.

The contract for November delivery was trading at Rs 20350 .00, up by 0.57% or Rs 115.00 from its previous closing of Rs 20235.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 4437 lots.

The contract for December delivery was trading at Rs 20690 .00, up by 0.24% or Rs 50.00 from its previous closing of Rs 20640.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 3033 lots on NCDEX.
