Jeera futures trade higher on demand surge

Jeera futures traded higher on NCDEX, due to enlargement in portfolios by investors tracking strong demand from domestic and overseas market. However, higher cultivation this year has capped the gains.

The contract for January delivery was trading at Rs 18505.00, up by 0.73% or Rs 135.00 from its previous closing of Rs 18370.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 3618 lots.

The contract for March delivery was trading at Rs 17540.00, up by 0.17% or Rs 30.00 from its previous closing of Rs 17510.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 879 lots on NCDEX.
