Jeera futures edge higher on rising demand

Jeera futures edged higher on NCDEX as speculators enlarged their holdings amid rising domestic as well as export demand in the spot market. Though, some gains were capped on good sowing progress in major growing regions of Gujarat.

The contract for November delivery was trading at Rs 19450.00, up by 0.31% or Rs 60.00 from its previous closing of Rs 19390.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 18 lots.

The contract for December delivery was trading at Rs 20320.00, up by 2.29% or Rs 455.00 from its previous closing of Rs 19865.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 13929 lots on NCDEX.
