Jeera futures edge higher on restricted arrivals

Jeera futures edged higher on NCDEX as participants built up fresh positions on the back of rising domestic as well as export demand at the spot market. Besides, restricted arrivals from major growing regions also fuelled the uptrend.

The contract for January delivery was trading at Rs 17245.00, up by 0.35% or Rs 60.00 from its previous closing of Rs 17185.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 3342 lots.

The contract for March delivery was trading at Rs 17050.00, up by 0.65% or Rs 110.00 from its previous closing of Rs 16940.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 1611 lots on NCDEX.
