Jeera futures edge higher on NCDEX

Jeera futures edged higher on NCDEX on expectation of pickup in demand in the physical market. Further, tight stocks position following lower supply from the producing belts too fuelled the uptrend.

The contract for September delivery was trading at Rs 18260.00, up by 1.25% or Rs 225.00 from its previous closing of Rs 18035.00.The open interest of the contract stood at 10614 lots.

The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 18375.00, up by 1.10% or Rs 200.00 from its previous closing of Rs 18175.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 12684 lots on NCDEX.
