Jeera futures edged down on NCDEX, as speculators booked profits driven a fall in demand in the spot market and on increased supply from Gujarat. However, some losses remained capped on export demand of cumin.
The contract for March delivery was trading at Rs 16760.00, down by 0.09 % or Rs 15.00 from its previous closing of Rs 16775.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 10539 lots.
The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 17050.00, down 0.35 % or Rs 60.00 from its previous closing of Rs 17110.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 1848 lots on NCDEX.
