Gold futures trade lower on MCX

Gold futures traded lower on MCX as participants cut down their bets amid a weak trend overseas as the dollar remained firm near a one-week high on the back of intensifying global trade tensions and economic worries in emerging markets.

The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 30183.00, down by 0.47% or Rs 144.00 from its previous closing of Rs 30327.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 8487 lots.

The contract for December delivery was trading at Rs 30391.00, down by 0.49% or Rs 150.00 from its previous closing of Rs 30541.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 2410 lots on MCX.
