Gold futures trade higher on MCX

Gold futures traded higher on MCX as the US dollar tumbled after minutes of the Federal Reserve's July policy meeting prompted market players to push back expectations for the next US rate hike.

The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 31460.00, up by 0.29% or Rs 92.00 from its previous closing of Rs 31368.00.The open interest of the contract stood at 11112.00 lots.

The contract for December delivery was trading at Rs 31760.00, up by 0.26% or Rs 82.00 from its previous closing of Rs 31678.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 2568.00 lots on MCX.
