Gold futures end higher on Tuesday

Gold futures ended higher on Tuesday as the US dollar headed lower and investors looked to minutes due midweek from the Federal Reserve's recent meeting for clues on plans for interest rates.

Gold futures for December delivery added $6.40 or 0.5 percent to settle at $1,281.70 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold was up 0.3 percent at $1,280.63 an ounce.
