Gold futures end higher on Friday

Gold futures ended higher on Friday as the dollar dipped following a slight downward revision to US second quarter economic growth, but investors remained wary after a speech by Federal Reserve head Janet Yellen indicated that an increase in interest rates may be coming soon.

Gold futures for December delivery gained $1.30 or 0.1 percent to settle at $1,325.90 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. While, spot gold was up 0.02 percent to $1,321.52 an ounce.
