Gold futures edge higher on MCX

Gold futures edged higher on MCX as participants enlarged their holdings amid a firming trend in the global markets as the dollar eased amid fresh concerns of trade tensions between the United States and China.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 30540.00, up by 0.43% or Rs 132.00 from its previous closing of Rs 30408.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 1255 lots.

The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 30640.00, up by 0.29% or Rs 88.00 from its previous closing of Rs 30552.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 7990 lots on MCX.
