Gold futures decline on MCX

Gold futures declined on MCX as market players looked ahead to minutes of the Federal Reserve's July policy meeting, which many feared could be more hawkish than the statement.

The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 31365.00, down by 0.32% or Rs 102.00 from its previous closing of Rs 31467.00.The open interest of the contract stood at 11062.00 lots.

The contract for December delivery was trading at Rs 31670.00, down by 0.26% or Rs 84.00 from its previous closing of Rs 31754.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 2523.00 lots on MCX.
