Gold futures decline on MCX

Gold futures declined on MCX as markets focused on the release of US economic reports due later in the day for further indications on the strength of the economy.

The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 31200.00, down by 0.41% or Rs 127.00 from its previous closing of Rs 31327.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 11354.00 lots.

The contract for December delivery was trading at Rs 31500.00, down by 0.40% or Rs 127.00 from its previous closing of Rs 31627.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 2411.00 lots on MCX.
