Mentha oil futures trade marginally lower on sluggish demand

Mentha oil futures traded marginally lower on MCX as speculators reduced their positions amid sluggish demand from industries at the spot market. Further, ample stocks position on increased arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh too added pressure on mentha oil prices.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 952.30, down by 0.22% or Rs 2.10 from its previous closing of Rs 954.40. The open interest of the contract stood at 1467 lots.

The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 928.50, down by 0.09% or Re 0.80 from its previous closing of Rs 929.30. The open interest of the contract stood at 1238 lots on MCX.
