Mentha oil futures trade marginally lower on profit booking

Mentha oil futures traded marginally lower on MCX as speculators booked profits, driven by decline in demand from consuming industries at the spot markets. Further, ample stocks position on higher supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh too pulled down mentha oil prices.

The contract for August delivery was trading at Rs 1147.60, down by 1.89% or Rs 22.10 from its previous closing of Rs 1169.70. The open interest of the contract stood at 3727 lots.

The contract for September delivery was trading at Rs 1160.50, down by 1.83% or Rs 21.60 from its previous closing of Rs 1182.10. The open interest of the contract stood at 1709 lots on MCX.
