Mentha oil futures trade marginally lower on muted demand

Mentha oil futures traded marginally lower on MCX as investors and speculators cut down their positions in the agri-commodity amid muted demand from major consuming industries in the domestic spot market. Further, ample stocks position on higher supplies from major producing belts too weighed on mentha oil prices.

The contract for July delivery was trading at Rs 939.20, down by 0.31% or Rs 2.90 from its previous closing of Rs 942.10. The open interest of the contract stood at 2971 lots.

The contract for August delivery was trading at Rs 950.90, down by 0.39% or Rs 3.70 from its previous closing of Rs 954.60. The open interest of the contract stood at 995 lots on MCX.
