Mentha oil futures trade marginally lower on muted demand

Mentha oil futures traded marginally lower on MCX as investors and speculators exited their positions in the agri-commodity amid muted demand from major consuming industries in the domestic spot market. Further, ample stocks position on higher supplies from major producing belts of Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, too weighed on mentha oil prices.

The contract for July delivery was trading at Rs 893.60, down by 0.03% or Rs 0.30 from its previous closing of Rs 893.90. The open interest of the contract stood at 3223 lots.

The contract for August delivery was trading at Rs 906.10, down by 0.12% or Rs 1.10 from its previous closing of Rs 907.20. The open interest of the contract stood at 620 lots on MCX.
