Mentha oil futures trade marginally lower on MCX

Mentha oil futures traded marginally lower on MCX as investors and speculators exited their positions in the agri-commodity amid favorable climatic conditions and expectations of higher production this year. However, the daily arrival of mentha in the major spot markets of Uttar Pradesh has decreased due to the ongoing monsoon, which is making it difficult for farmers for bringing their stock.

The contract for July delivery was trading at Rs 935.80, down by 0.35% or Rs 3.30 from its previous closing of Rs 939.10. The open interest of the contract stood at 2953 lots.

The contract for August delivery was trading at Rs 946.50, down by 0.4% or Rs 3.80 from its previous closing of Rs 950.30. The open interest of the contract stood at 862 lots on MCX.
