Mentha oil futures trade marginally higher on rising demand

Mentha oil futures traded marginally higher on MCX as participants engaged in building of positions on the back of rising demand from consuming industries in the spot market. Further, restricted supplies from major producing belts of Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, too supported mentha oil prices.

The contract for September delivery was trading at Rs 1181.50, up by 0.11% or Rs 1.30 from its previous closing of Rs 1180.20. The open interest of the contract stood at 2010 lots.

The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 1194.00, up by 0.02% or Rs 0.20 from its previous closing of Rs 1193.80. The open interest of the contract stood at 1717 lots on MCX.
