Mentha oil futures trade higher on pick-up in demand

Mentha oil futures traded higher on MCX as speculators engaged in building up positions amid pick-up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market. Besides, tight stock positions due to restricted arrivals from the major producing belts of Chandausi is also giving support to the mentha prices.

The contract for November delivery was trading at Rs 1760.00, up by 2.47% or Rs 42.50 from its previous closing of Rs 1717.50. The open interest of the contract stood at 592 lots.

The contract for December delivery was trading at Rs 1791.40, up by 2.4% or Rs 42.00 from its previous closing of Rs 1749.40. The open interest of the contract stood at 2541 lots on MCX.
