Mentha oil futures edge higher on rising demand

Mentha oil futures edged higher on MCX as speculators built up fresh positions amid uptick in demand from consuming industries at the spot market.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 1286.00, up by 0.46% or Rs 5.90 from its previous closing of Rs 1280.10. The open interest of the contract stood at 852 lots.

The contract for June delivery was trading at 1161.70, up by 0.81% or Rs 9.30 from its previous closing of Rs 1152.40. The open interest of the contract stood at 646 lots on MCX.
