Crude palm oil futures trade lower on weak global cues

Crude palm oil futures traded lower on MCX in line with negative cues from Malaysian palm oil. Moreover, lower tariff value and higher import figures pressured the CPO rates.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 534.50, down 0.24% or Rs 1.30 from its previous closing of Rs 535.80. The open interest of the contract stood at 2645 lots.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 540.50, down by 0.18% or Rs 1.00 from its previous closing of Rs 541.50. The open interest of the contract stood at 3640 lots on MCX.
