Crude oil futures trade tad lower on MCX

Crude oil futures traded marginally lower on MCX, as speculators cut bets after sentiment dampened in global markets, partly reversing a strong jump from the previous day, as the impact of a tropical storm on US Gulf coast production was not as strong as initially expected.

The contract for September delivery was trading at Rs 4973.00, down by 0.78% or Rs 39.00 from its previous closing of Rs 5012.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 18482 lots.

The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 4975.00, down by 0.7% or Rs 35.00 from its previous closing of Rs 5010.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 1899 lots on MCX.
