Cotton futures trade higher on rising demand

Cotton futures traded higher on MCX amid rising demand from traders and stockists at the spot market. Besides, CAI projected fall in output from major growing regions also fuelled the uptrend.

The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 22910.00, up by 0.66% or Rs 150.00 from its previous closing of Rs 22760.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 2219 lots.

The contract for November delivery was trading at Rs 22680.00, up by 0.76% or Rs 170.00 from its previous closing of Rs 22510.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 3745 lots on MCX.
