Cotton futures trade higher on MCX

Cotton futures traded higher on MCX despite reports of improved acreage due to adequate rains in major producing belts of Gujarat and Maharashtra.

The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 21020.00, up by 0.48% or Rs 100.00 from its previous closing of Rs 20920.00.The open interest of the contract stood at 4137.00 lots.

The contract for November delivery was trading at Rs 19740.00, up by 0.77% or Rs 150.00 from its previous closing of Rs 19590.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 2723.00 lots on MCX.
