Cotton futures trade higher on good demand

Cotton futures traded higher on MCX due to good demand from traders and stockists at the spot market. Though, anticipation of higher sowing acreage in the country capped some gains in cotton futures.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 21200.00, up by 0.33% or Rs 70.00 from its previous closing of Rs 21130.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 4100 lots.

The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 21400.00, up by 0.33% or Rs 70.00 from its previous closing of Rs 21330.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 3952 lots on MCX.
