Copper futures trade higher on positive global cues

Copper futures traded higher on MCX, with positive trend in overseas market amid optimism over trade talks and on firm Chinese data. Moreover, uptick in demand from spot domestic markets fuelled uptrend.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 448.70, up by 0.35% or Rs 1.55 from its closing of Rs 447.15.The open interest of the contract stood at 12503 lots.

The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 452.70, up 0.35% or Rs 1.60 from its previous closing of Rs 451.10. The open interest of the contract stood at 1013 lots on MCX.
