Copper futures trade higher as demand rises

Copper futures traded higher on MCX, as metal got firmer in overseas market with the softer dollar. Moreover, pickup in demand from consuming industries also added the upside.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 452.15, up by 0.48% or Rs 2.15 from its previous closing of Rs 450.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 13992 lots.

The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 456.00, up by 0.48% or Rs 2.20 from its previous closing of Rs 453.80. The open interest of the contract stood at 616 lots on MCX.
