Copper futures end tad higher on Monday

Copper futures ended slightly higher on Monday, with hopes of a resolution to the US-China trade war outweighing the threat of higher US tariffs on Chinese goods. Copper prices improved further as the dollar slipped against other leading currencies after US Federal Reserve officials expressed caution over the global growth outlook, prompting traders to reassess the pace of future US interest rate increases.

Copper futures for December delivery settled little changed at $2.799 a pound, on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. While, copper on the London Metal Exchange ended up 0.9 percent at $6,259 a tonne.
