Copper futures end lower on Wednesday

Copper futures ended lower on Wednesday as fading optimism that a China-US trade stand-off was at an end knocked appetite for cyclical assets.

Copper futures for July delivery fell 2 percent to settle at $3.071 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. While, copper on the London Metal Exchange closed down 1.6 percent at $6,867 a metric ton.
