Copper futures end lower on Thursday

Copper futures ended lower on Thursday as trade tensions between the United States and top metals consumer China upstaged optimism over the chances of clinching a new North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

Copper futures for December delivery fell 0.7 percent to settle at $2.718 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. While, copper on the London Metal Exchange ended down 0.3 percent at $6,066 a metric ton.
