Copper futures end lower on Friday

Comex copper futures ended lower on Friday ahead of the holiday weekend, with a surging dollar sinking the entire base metals complex.

Copper futures for July delivery fell 0.6 percent to settle at $3.078 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. While, copper on the London Metal Exchange closed up 0.1 percent at $6,885 a metric ton.
