Copper futures end higher as dollar weakens

Copper futures ended higher on Thursday as the dollar weakened and the market waited for cues from China-US trade talks underway in Beijing. The world's two biggest economies have imposed import tariffs on each other's goods, including Chinese aluminium and US aluminium scrap, and threatened more action in a trade dispute that has roiled metals markets.

Copper futures for July delivery rose 0.4 percent to settle at $3.081 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. While, copper on the London Metal Exchange ended up 0.1 percent at $6,827 a metric ton.
