Chana futures trade lower on profit booking

Chana futures traded lower on NCDEX, owing to profit taking at prevailing gains by the market players, tracking muted physical demand. Further, reports on higher yields and increased imports also added downside.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 4399 .00, down by 0.54% or Rs 24.00 from its previous closing of Rs 4423.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 17420 lots.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 4446.00, down by 0.60% or Rs 27.00 from its previous closing of Rs 4473.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 81990 lotson NCDEX.
