Chana futures trade lower on increased arrivals

Chana futures traded lower on NCDEX on increased arrivals from the major producing regions against sluggish demand in the spot market. Further, expectations of higher output from the major producing belts too added pressure on chana prices.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 3150.00, down by 2.11% or Rs 68.00 from its previous closing of Rs 3218.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 45370 lots.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 3206.00, down by 2.02% or Rs 66.00 from its previous closing of Rs 3272.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 76860 lots on NCDEX.
