Chana futures trade lower on higher stocks

Chana futures traded lower on NCDEX, due to liquidation of bets by market participants  amid higher stocks mounting with the government agencies and improving production prospects.  However, good demand at domestic markets  capped the down side.

The contract for March delivery was trading at Rs 4185.00, down by 0.45% or Rs 19.00 from its previous closing of Rs 4204.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 3290 lots.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 4214.00, down by 0.47% or Rs 20.00 from its previous closing of Rs 4234.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 56800 lots on NCDEX.
