Chana futures trade higher on firm demand

Chana futures traded higher on NCDEX, as the speculators enlarged their bets counting on firm physical domestic demand. However, increased arrivals from growing belts countered by the higher stock levels capped the upside.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 4269.00, up by 0.73% or Rs 31.00 from its previous closing of Rs 4238.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 58100 lots.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 4310.00, up by 0.77% or Rs 33.00 from its previous closing of Rs 4277.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 17860 lots on NCDEX.
