Chana futures trade down on profit taking

Chana futures traded lower on NCDEX on profit-taking. Though, expectation of higher demand due to a rise in the local consumption of dal and chana flour in the festive season along with lower output hopes, capped some losses in chana prices' to some extent.

The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 2815.00, down by 0.57% or Rs 16.00 from its previous closing of Rs 2831.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 6180 lots.

The contract for November delivery was trading at Rs 2886.00, down by 0.48% or Rs 14.00 from its previous closing of Rs 2900.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 107000 lots on NCDEX.
