Chana futures surge as demand picks up

Chana futures surged on NCDEX, due to pick up in demand followed by diminishing stocks with the traders. Moreover, decreased arrivals from growing belts also added upside.

The contract for March delivery was trading at Rs 4197.00, up by 1.92% or Rs 79.00 from its previous closing of Rs 4118.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 13540 lots.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 4248.00, up by 1.92% or Rs 80.00 from its previous closing of Rs 4168.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 57110 lots on NCDEX.
