Natural Cashew Nut Rates Hit Worldwide Higher

Cashew costs are likely to stay strong in medium term, because of report surge in raw cashew nut rates in the global industry and supply limitations.

Raw cashew rates have been on the upward move over 1 . 5 years and also recently hit an all time higher of $1,800 (Rs 81,000) per tonne in the global market, a rise of 100 % over $900 in 2009-10.

The primary reason is related to a 25 % decrease in the cashew crop internationally, along with competition from Brazil and also Vietnam regarding import of natural nuts and also governmental problems in Ivory Coast, which disabled provides.
