Cardamom futures trade lower on MCX

Cardamom futures traded lower on MCX as investors remained on the sidelines amid muted physical demand for cardamom in the domestic spot market. Though, some losses were capped on expectation of fall in cardamom output this year due to adverse weather in all the producing areas of south India.

The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 1150.00, down by 0.48% or Rs 5.50 from its previous closing of Rs 1155.50. The open interest of the contract stood at 625.00 lots.

The contract for November delivery was trading at Rs 1143.00, down by 0.26% or Rs 3.00 from its previous closing of Rs 1146.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 758.00 lots on MCX.
