Cardamom futures traded higher on MCX, tracking firmness in spot domestic demand and scattered export buying amid lower price levels. However, some gains remained trimmed amid expectation of new produce supply by June on the reports of favourable climate conditions.
The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 910.00, up by 1.59% or Rs 14.20 from its previous closing of Rs 895.80. The open interest of the contract stood at 231 lots.
The contract for July delivery was trading at Rs 890.00, up by 1.02% or Rs 9.00 from its previous closing of Rs 881.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 70 lots on MCX.
