Wheat Futures Continue To Trade Soft (08-Sep-2010)
Wheat futures were trading marginally down following the reports regarding Union Government's decision of distributing wheat stocks to below poverty line card holders. Heavy rain in the central north region since Monday night too has affected the trade along with the strike call by the trade unions.
The contract for September delivery was trading at Rs 1222.00, marginally down by 0.05% or Rs 0.60 from its previous closing of Rs 1222.60. The open interest of the contract stood at 26860 lots.
The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 1241.00, tad higher by 0.08% or Rs 1 from its previous closing of Rs 1242.00.The open interest of the contract stood at 20480 lots on the NCDEX.
