Turmeric Futures Snaps Its Five Day Winning Streak

Turmeric futures after seeing run up for past few session surrender to the selling pressure in today`s trading session as investor`s booked out profit in the commodity at higher levels. The commodity also fell on the back of rising supply from the fresh crop and on sluggish physical demand.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 10,292.00, down by 1.98% or Rs 208.00 from its previous closing of Rs 10,500.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 5,410 lots.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 9342.00, down by 2.40% or Rs 230.00 from its previous closing of Rs 9,572.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 11,220 lots.
