Mentha Oil Futures Trade Low On Reduced Off ta (07-Sep-2010)
Mentha Oil futures trade a bit low due to falling demand in the spot market, against adequate stocks positions amid reduced off take by pharmaceutical units, which has mainly pulled down mentha oil prices at futures trade.However, traders hold a bullish overview for the commodity in the medium term on expectation of pickup in domestic and export demand at lower levels.
The contract for September delivery was trading at Rs 810.50, down by 0.49% or Rs 4 from its previous closing of Rs 814.50. The open interest of the contract stood at 6371 lots.
The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 822, down by 0.50% or Rs 4.10 from its previous closing of Rs 826.10. The open interest of the contract stood at 3209 lots on the MCX.
