Jeera Futures Suffer Sharp Decline On NCDEX (02-Aug-2010)
Jeera futures were trading low as the weak demand in the spot market pressured the prices of the commodity to fall, but falling arrivals kept the downside limited to some extent. The fresh arrivals of around 800 bags were reported at Unjha Mandi against the previous day arrival of 6000 bags.
The contract for August delivery was trading at Rs 14039.00, down by 2.77% or Rs 400 from its previous closing of Rs 14439.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 8694 lots.
The contract for September delivery was trading at Rs 14325.00, down by 2.70% or Rs 397.00 from its previous closing of 14722.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 15198.00 lots on the NCDEX.
