Cardamom Futures Up On Strong Demand (12-Aug-2010)
Cardamom futures are trading up as traders enlarged positions largely on the back of strong spot demand in the market. Traders of the commodity are of the view that strong demand against tight arrivals at the physical markets continued to support the rise in cardamom prices in futures trading.
The contract for August delivery was trading at Rs 1739.80, up by 1.66% or Rs 28.40 from its previous closing of Rs 171140.The open interest of the contract stood at 1195 lots.
The contract for September delivery was trading at Rs 1290.00, up by 0.07% or Rs 0.90 from its previous closing of Rs 1289.10. The open interest of the contract stood at 2665.00 lots on the MCX.
