Cardamom Futures Dip On Sluggish Demand (17-Aug-2010)
Cardamom futures are trading low as speculators reduced their position tracking weak cues from spot markets and the absence of export demand pressured the prices of the commodity to fall. The demand for the commodity was up from past few sessions on account of good export demand from mid-east Asian countries.
The contract for September delivery was trading at Rs 1120.30, down by4% or Rs 50.90 from its previous closing of Rs 1271.20 .The open interest of the contract stood at 2550 lots.
The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 1096.10, down by 4% or Rs 45.70 from its previous closing of Rs 1141.80. The open interest of the contract stood at 1991 lots on the MCX.
